The Backstory
To understand why I’m so passionate about helping women entrepreneurs, let me share a bit of my own journey—The Backstory (Before the Magic Happened).
My entrepreneurial journey didn’t start yesterday. I’ve spent the last 20+ years navigating both the scrappy startup trenches and the stuffy (often male dominated) corporate boardrooms.
As the founder of Schmidt Designs, I spent years partnering with entrepreneurs and startups to build stunning brands, websites, and marketing assets that actually made money and pushed brands forward.
But I also have a corporate alter-ego. Before that, and alongside running my own agency, I worked as a Graphic Designer and Marketing Specialist for a company under Halma plc—a British FTSE 100 global technology giant specializing in life-saving innovations.
From day-one startups to multi-billion-dollar empires backed by global parents, I’ve seen exactly how successful businesses are built and run.
